This term there is a big school-wide focus on improving the students explicit knowledge of what they are learning, how they'll do it and how they'll know once they have learned it. Although that in itself is nothing new, it is a good reminder that learning and behaviour can be improved when students know what they are doing more clearly and consistently...I'm working on these doc's which I intend on putting up on the screen in my room and going over them with the kids for a few minutes at the start to get everyone on the same page (at least try to!). I have an observer coming in on Wednesday so admittedly, that has motivated me to put my A into G! It's all good though because I do believe it's a positive thing and I plan to make a habit of it.
